Sir Nicholas Winton’s Secret Rescue

In loving remembrance of Sir Nicholas Winton, a quiet hero who has gone from the world but alive in every life he saved.

A few months before World War II began, there was a great attack called "Kristallnacht", which was against Jewish people in Germany and Austria. It became clear that Jewish people, especially children were in great danger. As we often say, when the world is in pain, God sends a hero, right?

Yes, as you think there was a hero who helped those Jewish children. He wasn’t a politician, soldier or a rich man. He was just an ordinary person. He started a rescue mission. He made arrangements and found homes for those children in the UK.

He helped to send eight trains with full of children from Prague to Britain. But the final train hadn’t arrived and so the train was never seen again. Because, on the same day, Hitler invaded Poland and the World War II began.

Winton was the only reason for their lives, but what the most surprising is that he never told anyone about what he had done for almost fifty years. Later, by his wife, his story was exposed to the world.
He was honoured by many. But for him, it was a simple right thing to do.

Do you think true heroism needs to be seen, or is it enough to simply do what's right?

In this narcissistic world, where people post every act of kindness and good deeds, look at this man, who didn’t speak a single word about saving 669 lives for almost 50 years...

How to do meditation?

Most people have said that they do not meditate because they have no time. It is probably because they have other priorities. 5 to 10 minutes per day is not a lot. Giving time to your mental health is a really good investment in your life. So, start investing your valuable time.

Then how to meditate?

Set a place for meditation, it can be even on the terrace, in the living room or bedroom. It can be anywhere which should be airy space and quiet.

It doesn't matter if we meditate in the morning or evening but very significant is to make it a habit.

It is good to do it at the same time every day and constantly.

You just sit down with a straight back and relax. Your hands must rest on the thighs and your feet must be attached to the ground.

Start focusing on your breath. Just take a deep breath in and breath out for 5 minutes.

It's okay if you have thoughts or disturbance, try to concentrate on your breath.

Breathing consciously and meditating patiently is the best training.

Every small change leads to a brighter future...start working...
